01
Inspection
We start with a full inspection of the attic, crawl space, kitchen, and wall voids. Flashlights and inspection mirrors let us see behind appliances and into joist bays. We photograph droppings, entry points, and damaged insulation so you can see exactly what we are pricing. This step usually takes 30 to 45 minutes.
02
Containment
Before we disturb anything, we set plastic sheeting and negative air pressure to keep dust and airborne particles from spreading into your living space. If you have kids or pets, we keep them out of the work zone until we finish. This is standard OSHA safety compliance on every sanitation job we run.
03
Removal
We remove contaminated insulation, nesting material, and carcasses, then vacuum all surfaces with HEPA equipment. Droppings are never swept dry. We bag everything in sealed waste and haul it out. On a typical Lima attic job, we pull 6 to 12 bags of contaminated material.
04
Disinfection
Every surface that rodents touched gets treated with EPA-registered disinfectant, including joists, sill plates, and subfloor. We follow with a fogging treatment in enclosed spaces to reach cracks a sprayer cannot. We finish by running a UV blacklight over the area to confirm no urine residue remains.
05
Verification And Sealing
We walk the job with you, show before-and-after photos, and point out every entry point we found. Then we seal gaps with copper mesh, steel wool, and hardware cloth, and foam the larger voids. You get a written summary and a warranty on the exclusion work.
